Our Crazy Times »

Will Rogers once said,  “I bet after seeing us, George Washington would sue us for calling him father”…. In my opinion, that statement is more true today than ever before. All but a few of our political leaders, from the White House to the halls of Congress, have slowly been taking us to a destination that would be totally foreign to the men of integrity who founded our nation.

These are crazy times… literally.

We have a bunch of knot-heads from both parties who want to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants out of a professed compassion for them, while they have stony hearts concerning the native born Americans who are losing their jobs or having to take heavy wage cuts as a result. Anybody smart enough to count their toes knows that their real concern is that cheap labor is readily available to corporate interests.

Two fine Border Patrol officers do their jobs, get arrested for it and may well have to go into prison tomorrow, while our Injustice system  pardons the dope smuggler they shot. Tony Snow reportedly called the request of 51 members of Congress for a pardon for these men “nonsensical”, according to the AFP. The only thing nonsensical about this whole situation that I can see is the system that pardons a drug smuggler who illegally crossed our border so he can testify against two decent men who, in my opinion, deserve a full pardon, an apology, and a medal.

Our bridges, highways and other taxpayer-built infrastructure is being leased or even sold to foreign companies. Our country is a sovereign  nation, not a commercial opportunity to be used and abused for profit.

We have “hate laws” that make some forms of free speech a crime for some, but not for others.

We are told that in order to protect our freedom, we must be willing to give some of them up.

Maybe the biggest problem of today is that all too many of the hippie-draft-resistor-free love generation are now at the political helm. Just when you begin to think that things can’t get any more absurd than they are, they do.

  • Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear. –Harry S. Truman

YouTube Mania »

While ABCNews grandly proclaimed “YouTube debate brings politics to people” and CNN claims that “YouTube video makes it harder for candidates to control the political debate”, I had to wonder if our country might be heading into something far more ominous than the illegal immigration Amnesty debacle and the current mess in Iraq.

For example, CNN reported that 3,000 questions were submitted for the recent “debate”, and of those 3,000 only 39 questions were actually asked of the candidates. So, who do you suppose determined which questions were asked? If you say it was the corporate owners of YouTube (Google), you are right on the mark.

I don’t now about you, but in my mind the idea of outfits like YouTube and its Google masters having anything at all to do with American politics is not only ludicrous, it is scary as hell. While we do need a new and independent party  to oppose the  decadent  and  self serving  Republican and Democratic hyenas currently in power, nothing would be worse than having YouTube or Google involved.

One has only to look at the questions that were approved to be asked of the Democratic candidates by the YouTube staff to realize the ultra liberal, new world order type of inane thinking that prodominates both of these organizations. While YouTube admittedly does give a voice to many who would otherwise have no voice, their benefit to the country ends right there.

That YouTube “voice” is not always beneficial, either. Consider the fact that Sen. George Allen lost an election largely due to YouTube’s publication of his politically incorrect use of the word “Macaca”. Regardless of where you stand on political correctness, neither the utterance of one word nor YouTube’s promotion of the word should define the outcome of any American election.

The highly touted YouTube political debate was nothing more than a shabby sham by the liberal factions in control of Google, YouTube and the Demeocratic party, in my opinon. While CNN’s website headlined “The YouTube-ification of politics: Candidates losing control”, the truth is that the American public is in danger of losing control through the deceptions put forth by this liberal coalition.

There are indeed some good people and good videos on YouTube, but it must be noted that despite that fact, both YouTube and Google are definitely in the camps of the New World Order bunch and the liberal non-thinkers, and in the case of Google, apparently somewhat Anti-American to boot. Did I forget to say that they are also part and parcel of Red China’s efforts to suppress and hide truth from its people?

The last thing we need is for this irrational and nonsensical political charade from the left wing to have any influence or any part in our national political system. I believe that the younger generation is bright enough to see through the attempt at political manipulation by the backers of this thing, and I fervently hope the rest of us are, too.

Politically Correct Deceit »

The mindless movement of political correctness is one of the most un-American, outragiously stupid trends that our culture has ever experienced. Political correctness simply equates to deception, and is on the verge of violating our right of free speech, a free press and a free internet.

Political correctness also means purposeful deception. As examples, “reform” really means either amnesty for illegals or the robbing of social security benefits. “News” often means slanted opinion or partial truth when used by the media. “Prejudice” almost always means white prejudice. “Extremist” means the NRA or the Minutemen, while the politically correct term for black extremism is called “Protest”. “Tolerance” means the condoning of everything from homosexuality to abortion to licentiousness. And sadly, “patriotism” is beginning to mean submitting to whatever civil liberties and privacy violations are called for by the misnamed, politically correct term the “Patriot Act”.

Political correctness taken to extremes: ABC News said that Ken Corley, mayor of Brazoria, Texas, is proposing a citywide ordinance that would make uttering the admittedly detestable word “nigger” punishable by up to a $500 fine.  And USA Today reports that the New York City Council is also on the politically correct ban-wagon, approving a similar motion by a 5 to 0 vote. As proof of the perceived threat of the  stifling of freedom of speech, press and the web, both of the two publications substituted “N-word” instead of the real topic of the news articles.

While use of the phrase “N-word” may be commendable at times, it’s my opinion that it also sets a very dangerous precedent. Free speech is a fundamental right in this country– for now– but setting a precedent often leads to actual repression of our rights through legislation, upheld in courts of law through citing of the precedent… don’t forget the hooplah about confiscating the property of drug lords, which has since set precedence for confiscation of property for everything from drunk driving to your nephew smoking a joint on your property.

Our rights are damned important and hard won, folks… and the right to free speech is much more important than the enactment of unconstitutional laws which protect the rights of a certain race, while ignoring the rights of another. That is not civil rights, as race mongers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton seem to believe, it is racial prejudice in favor of blacks. I hear no clamor for outlawing the words “honky”, “cracker” or “spick”.

Ken Corley, the NYC council and any other knotheads who believe in outlawing any word or phrase should pull their heads out of their anuses and realize that they are also threatening their own second amendment rights.
