Rabble Rousing in Jena
Opinion: Sep 22, 2007
Sadly reminiscent of the 1960s, the current media coverage of the so-called Jena 6 is about as honest and straightforward as your average political campaign.
Only in America could 6 thugs gang up on one white boy and beat him into uncnsiouness– and then continue beating him– and still have the mainstream media at their defense, calling the arrest and sentencing of the six black attackers "racism".
To truly objective minds (CNN take notice), there is absolutely nothing racist about convicting and sentencing those found guilty of such an atrocity. The fact that this incident happened is disputed by nobody. But the old liberal sickness of times past seems to be alive and well today, as evidenced by the inane assumption that if blacls are convicted of any crime agaiinst whites, and are susequently held legally accountable, then of course there simply must be racism involved… just ask professsional rabble rouser Al Sharpton.
This type of sick thinking, promoted ad nauseum by mainstream media interests masquerading as news reporters, erroneously takes it for granted that any racism involved is never on the part of blacks, but only on the part of whites. Their brainwashing works to some extent; there are still millions of ignoramuses in the USA who simplistically believe that if the talking face on CNN or MSNBC says it ’s so, then it really has to be so.
Justin Barker, the white victim, was cold-cocked from behind, knocked unconscious and beaten and stomped by six black athletes, now made famous by the liberal media. While Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and CNN ’s Rick Sanchez have made much ado about "nooses" being hung on a schoolyard tree, inferring that the victim had something to do with putting theme there, the fact is that the noose hanging incident happened three months before the attack of the six black racists on Barker.
Yes, I said "black racists". Black racism is a very prevalent fact that is almost universally ignored in today ’s politically correct unreality. Black racism is encouraged and almost blessed by the mainstream media ’s treatment (or mistreatment) of such matters as the Jena incident.
As evidence of this, consider the statement by CNN ’s muckraker Rick Sanchez earlier today: "Why should a schoolyard fight keep this teenager behind bars?"
That statement by Sanchez is either an outright lie or the result of very poor research into the truth of the matter, and if the latter is the case, then Sanchez is at best irresponsible in declaring such an untruth as if it were fact to millions of viewers. However, as black commentator Jason Whitlock reports, "There was no ’schoolyard fight ‘ as a result of nooses being hung on a whites-only tree."
Whitlock further reports: "A black U.S. attorney, Don Washington, investigated the ‘Jena Six ‘ case and concluded that the attack on Barker had absolutely nothing to do with the noose-hanging incident three months before. The nooses and two off-campus incidents were tied to Barker ’s assault by people wanting to gain sympathy for the ‘Jena Six ‘ in reaction to Walters ‘ extreme charges of attempted murder." (Emphasis mine).
It ’s my personal opinion that Rick Sanchez is well aware of the truth, and chose to distort it. But Sanchez is not alone in this type of media hype. The mainstream news media overflows with with calculated, misleading misinformation on a grand scale, intended to sway public opinion to their own interests, every bit as much as politicians and corporate interests do.
News is seldom their real purpose; it is more often commentary, and "commentary" is a politically correct word for attempts at social engineering. What would the media say if the Jena incident were reversed, and six white thugs had beaten a lone black? Well, they can ‘t have it both ways, though Lord knows they are trying.
Black Pride was a byword of the old and misnamed "civil rights" movement of the 1960s. I would like to ask Sharpton, Jackson and Sanchez:
- What black pride is there in six blacks beating one white? (Remember Rodney King, too.)
- What black pride is involved in Affirmative Action?
- Why is it all right for racist organizations like the NAACP, CORE and La Raza to exist, but any white-oriented organization is automatically called bigoted and held in suspicion?
- Why is black pride commendable, but white pride is Nazi or KKK related?
I can think of many more questions along these lines, but I am sure that any answers forthcoming from the likes of those mentioned above would be either evasive or just more deceit.
The race card is old hat, worn out, and all to often used as an excuse for lack of accomplishment, failure, resentment and feelings of inadequacy. The average person is beginning to catch on to the media ’s practice of twisting the facts, and most fair minded folks should be aware of the fact that in today ’s world, it is not the average white American of European descent who is guilty of prejudice and racism.
Maybe it ’s the liberal Accusers who are the real racists.
